Global Philanthropic has announced that Srishti Bakshi has been appointed Executive Director Europe & Asia and Senior Consultant with effect from 18th January 2024.

A dynamic and accomplished professional with a track record of successfully designing and implementing projects that create systemic change, Srishti has a wealth of experience in storytelling, advocacy, and grassroots initiatives that have been at the forefront of challenging social norms, gathering evidence, and influencing policy.

A dedicated social change advocate, Srishti’s passion for gender equity led her on a remarkable on-foot journey covering 3,800 kilometres across the length of India, during which she met and sensitised over 100,000 women about gender-based violence and inequality. Her inspiring use of a distinctive digital movement, marked by bold and innovative approaches, made her a source of inspiration for numerous young people worldwide.

Singlehandedly, Srishti raised $4 million or the initiative from corporations, foundations, and philanthropists worldwide. Subsequently, she directed her attention towards mobilising philanthropic funds to scale impact organizations and advocacy movements, enabling them to reach their true potential.

Srishti thrives on creating global-scale digital movements and innovative strategies from the ground up. She is a trainer for impact cohorts supported by the UN, the US Department of State, the Swedish Government, and the BOLD network of the MacArthur Foundation. With her extensive knowledge and experience, Srishti continues to shape the conversation around social change and is also an experienced TED speaker.

Srishti completed her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialisation in Marketing and Strategy from the Indian School of Business (ISB). Before embarking on her journey in the impact sector, she worked with renowned global FMCG brands such as Red Bull and OtterBox. In these roles, she took on leadership responsibilities within brand and marketing teams, overseeing operations in the Asia-Pacific markets from Hong Kong and India.

For her work Srishti received the UN SDG award in 2022 and British Commonwealth Points of award by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2019. She is a trustee of both The Donaldson Trust and Edinburgh College Development Trust as well as the Founder and Director of Women of My Billion (WOMB), which centres on discrimination faced by women and girls.
