In recent times, technology has outstripped more intimate forms of communication—face-to-face contact, telephone calls, the handwritten letter. This is also true in fundraising. Distance. Connection. These are polar opposites but twin points on the spectrum of survival during COVID-19. Technology has enabled us to be in ‘safety bubbles’ for the better part of three months in a way never before possible. Yet, we have also never felt so painfully the absence of face-to-face human connection, or been so powerfully aware of the importance of our relationships.

Tune into the CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) ToGather session on Friday 19 June to join a discussion with Global Philanthropic’s Nick Jaffer and other panellists on why professional fundraisers must never lose sight of the fact that relationship-based engagement and fundraising remain critical elements for advancement success.
Speakers:
- Rebecca Hazell, Director of Advancement, The University of Newcastle, Australia
- Nick Jaffer, President & CEO (Asia Pacific), Australia
- Crickett Kasper, Chief Advancement Officer, Singapore American School, Singapore
