Based in Manchester, Ruth joined Global Philanthropic in 2019. Ruth has more than ten years’ experience in fundraising, including at the universities of Cambridge and Manchester, and at the Royal Horticultural Society.

Ruth’s experience has been enriched by working with philanthropists and senior business people globally with a focus in the UK, Switzerland and Hong Kong. Ruth is inspired by working with people who believe that every individual should be empowered to achieve their best.

She has secured a significant number of six and seven-figure gifts in support of scholarships, research across the arts and humanities, health, science and engineering, and capital projects including the Manchester Museum’s South Asia Gallery and the RHS’ new garden in Salford, RHS Bridgewater.

She is a Trustee of Manchester Camerata. As a clarinettist, she performs with Burnley Orchestra and Collegium Laureatum, and in chamber music ensembles.

Ruth has an MA (Cantab.) in English from the University of Cambridge, Christ’s College.
